Job summary

Siemens Energy India Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Controller to lead financial management across SG&A and Central Items. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting while ensuring alignment with global finance policies.

The role requires strong analytical capability and ability to work with diverse teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in a global enterprise, a finance focus, and certifications such as MBA or CPA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or equivalent; MBA/CPA preferred
• 5+ years of progressive professional experience in a global enterprise
• Directly related accounting/finance experience: planning, reporting, forecasting and controlling

Responsibilities

• Oversee SG&A controlling and accurate financial reporting
• Manage SG&A targets and cost-saving initiatives
• Control central cost center and ensure policy compliance
• Create and manage service level agreements for deliverables
• Develop budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis processes

A Snapshot of Your Day (Senior Financial Analyst, India)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. Additionally, the position will support the management team in analyzing the impacts of the global figures and across all various accounting systems used in reporting. As a Senior Controller in a global role, you will be responsible for overseeing SG&A and Central Items reporting. This includes controlling, tracking targets, maintaining a consolidated FC and preparation of the Budget.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Oversee SG&A controlling and ensure accurate financial reporting, analysis and provide guidance on functional cost assignments.
• Manage the SG&A targets by identifying, supporting and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
• Control the central IMB cost center and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
• Create and manage service level agreements to ensure clear expectations and deliverables.
• Develop and manage the budgeting process, including forecasting and variance analysis.
• Oversee IT project controlling to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Improve and increase efficiency of STG reporting landscape by driving automation and digitalization (create Tableau dashboards, automate processes, etc.)
• Support global business controlling team in STG’s budget and monthly operational review preparation.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or equivalent
• MBA, CPA or other equivalent professional certification preferred
• 5+ years of progressive professional experience in a global enterprise
• Directly related accounting and/or finance functional experience with emphasis on financial planning, reporting, forecasting and controlling
• Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and address competing priorities, while ensuring deadlines are met on time and with accuracy
• Ability to digest detailed information and bring to a summarized level for executive management.
• Demonstrated experience communicating complex ideas in effective an efficient manor, verbally and in writing, proficiency in English, German is a plus.
• Strong Excel, MS office, thinkcell and presentation skills required. Tableau, Alteryx, SAP, Analytics Cloud is a plus
