Job summary

GSK Bengaluru is seeking an experienced finance professional to lead the Close & Control activities for the India entities. You will drive month-end close, deliver P&L and balance sheet reporting, and coordinate with shared service partners and auditors to ensure compliance.

The role emphasizes process improvements, automation, and building strong internal controls while mentoring junior colleagues and collaborating with regional stakeholders to support strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, financial controlling or audit.
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial statement reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and IFRS reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management commentary, variance analysis and reconciliations to support business reviews and decision making.

Position Summary

You will lead financial control, month-end close and reporting activities for assigned India entities within the Close & Control team. Why You?

Work arrangement: Hybrid. You will typically work from the India office 2–3 days per week and remotely for the remainder. Occasional travel within the region may be required.

Basic Qualification

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting, financial controlling or audit.
• Practical experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial statement reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and experience with IFRS reporting.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (for example SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualification

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
• Experience working with shared service centres, outsourced providers, or multinational finance teams.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP implementation, reporting automation or analytics tools (for example Power BI).
• Familiarity with internal control frameworks, audit readiness and compliance practices.
• Track record of delivering process improvement or finance transformation projects.
• Prior experience in regulated industries or large matrix organisations.
