Job summary

Bechtel India Office is seeking a Control Systems - Revit Designer to support the detail design engineering for large Semiconductor Manufacturing facilities and related LNG/Oil & Gas projects. You will develop 3D BIM models, prepare drawings, and ensure data integrity across interfaces with electrical, mechanical and site teams.

Ideal candidates bring 7–11 years FEED/EPC experience in manufacturing environments, strong proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and SPI, and excellent

• 3-year diploma in Electronics & Telecommunication or Instrumentation & Control Systems from an accredited college or university.
• Experience required: 7-11 years.
• FEED and EPC Execution experience of Large Manufacturing & Technology, Mining & Metals, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage 3D BIM models and drawings for control systems and instrumentation in EPC projects.
• Generate plans, sections, elevations and detailed drawings from the model.
• Maintain data integrity in assigning and managing data (materials, quantities) within the model.
• Development of cable routing, instrument placement, panel layouts, and multi-discipline coordination.
• Collaborate with engineering, electrical, mechanical and site teams.
• Generate Instrument Location Plans, impulse tubing modeling, cable and conduit layout drawings, panel layouts.
• Extract Cable Schedule, BOQ and Material Take-Offs from models.
• Prepare Fire & Gas Layout Drawings.
• Develop Instrument Hook-Up Drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD; SPI sketches.
• LOD 300/400 Model Reviews and resolution of tags with Client, Sub-Contractors and Vendors.
• Perform Clash Checks to develop a clash-free system design.
• Prepare Control Room and Electrical Substation Layout Drawings.
• Load JB and RIO Cabinets; estimate fan-out and home-run cable lengths for FEED estimates.

Project Overview:

Bechtel India offices are looking for the design engineering professionals to support the design of the semiconductor fabrication (fab) facilities in US region – Ohio and New York. The design engineering shall be supporting the construction of new semiconductor fabs which includes the completion of the Fab/Process Specific Support Systems (PSSSs) and PSSS yards, Boiler Chiller Packages (BCPs),Ultra-Pure Water (UPW), Wastewater Treatment (WWT) building, yards and Site Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) conveyance trestles.

Job Summary:

Bechtel India Office is currently seeking Control Systems - Revit Designer for the detail design engineering execution of large Semiconductor Manufacturing facilities, Pharmaceutical Ingredient facilities which are part of Manufacturing and Technology Business Group, Oil & Gas Projects especially related to LNG and Refineries. The ideal candidate, in addition to meeting all the Essential Job Duties and Job Knowledge need to be a self-starter and possess strong oral and written communication skills.

Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for developing and managing 3D BIM models and drawings for control systems and instrumentation scope in EPC projects
• Generate plans, sections, elevations and all necessary details from the model
• Maintain data integrity in assigning and managing data (materials , quantities…etc) within the model
• Development of cable routing, instrument placement, panel layouts, and multi-discipline coordination to support efficient project execution
• Effective collaboration and integration with engineering, electrical, mechanical, and site teams
• Generate Instrument Location Plans, Impulse tubing modeling, Cable and Conduit layout drawings, Panel and Cabinet layouts, Installation details and sections
• Extraction of Cable schedule, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Material Take-Offs
• Preparation of Fire & Gas Layout Drawings
• Develop Instrument Hook-Up Drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD and generation of Hook-Up Sketches using SPI
• Responsible for LOD 300 and LOD 400 Model Reviews and resolution of tags with Client, Sub-Contractors and Vendors
• Perform Clash Checks in Model to develop a clash free system design
• Preparation of Control Room and Electrical Substation Layout Drawings
• Loading of JB and RIO Cabinets, estimation of Fan-out cable and Home Run Cable Length for FEED estimates

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 3-year diploma in Electronics & Telecommunications or Instrumentation & Control Systems from an accredited college or university
• Experience required: 7-11 years
• FEED and EPC Execution experience of Large Manufacturing & Technology, Mining and Metal, Oil & Gas and Infrastructure Projects.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Highly proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360 and Bluebeam
• BIM models (LOD 100-400 depending on stage)
• Adequate knowledge of S3D, SPR, MicroStation and SPI (Preferred)
• Thorough knowledge in P&IDs, Cable Schedule, I/O List and Network Architecture
• Fire & Gas Layout and interpretation of NFPA 72
• Remote I/O Design of major DCS Vendors
• Skill in reading, interpreting, and using related documents and drawings prepared by other project groups
• Knowledge of the application of engineering and construction materials related to designs
