Job summary

Jindal Power in Raigarh, India, seeks an experienced automation engineer to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC-based BOP systems across AHP, CHP, and Water Complex.

The role requires hands-on work with Allen Bradley, Siemens, GE Fanuc, and Honeywell systems, with expertise in PLC logic, SCADA, and DCS interfaces for reliable plant performance.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of PLC System including BOP Instrumentation.
• Knowledge of SCADA integration, communication protocols (Modbus / Ethernet / OPC), and system networking.
• Experience in BOP system instrumentation AHP, CHP, and Water Complex.
• Ability to analyze plant process requirements and translate them into automation logic.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PLC-based BOP systems, covering AHP, CHP, and Water Complex.
• Hands-on experience in Allen Bradley (Rockwell), SIEMENS, GE Fanuc & Honeywell Systems.
• Proficient in PLC logic development, modification, SCADA configuration, and system backups.
• Troubleshoot communication issues, interface problems between PLC and DCS systems.
• Lead instrumentation upgradation and logic optimization projects across BOP areas.
• Ensure high system availability and reliability of PLC-based systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, plan preventive maintenance schedules, and manage spare parts inventory.
• Prepare technical documentation, MOC, interlock logic, and ensure adherence to site safety norms.
• Train and guide field engineers for independent handling of system faults and logic analysis.

Educational Qualification :-

B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation / Electronics / Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Preferred Background :-

• Experience in 200 MW and above thermal power plants.
• Experience as Area In-charge for BOP C&I systems.
• Exposure to multi-vendor automation systems and integration with DCS.
