Job summary

Gold Plus Glass Industry seeks an experienced Control & Instrumentation Senior Engineer/Executive to oversee instrumentation and automation at the WHRS Power Plant. You will lead maintenance, calibrations, and optimization of DCS, PLCs, SCADA, and field instruments to maximize reliability.

The role requires RCAs, preventive maintenance planning, and coordination of shutdowns, while ensuring strict adherence to PTW/LOTO and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum several years in instrumentation & control maintenance (Power/Process preferred).
• Experience with DCS/PLC, field instruments, analyzers, valves, actuators, and SCADA.
• Knowledge of safety standards, PTW/LOTO procedures, and calibration practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation and control maintenance activities for the WHRS Power Plant.
• Ensure reliable operation of DCS, PLCs, field instruments, analyzers, and SCADA systems.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
• Monitor and optimize control loops for plant efficiency and stability.
• Conduct troubleshooting, RCA, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Maintain calibration records and documentation; update logic and alarm management.
• Coordinate shutdowns, overhauls, and commissioning activities; manage contractors and OEMs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and permit-to-work procedures.

The Control & Instrumentation Sr. Engineer/Sr. Executive/Asst. Manager shall be responsible for the overall management, operation, maintenance, reliability, and optimization of all instrumentation, control, automation, and DCS systems associated with the WHRS Power Plant. The role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance through effective control and monitoring of process parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all instrumentation and control maintenance activities of the WHRS Power Plant.
• Ensure reliable operation and maintenance of:
  • Honeywell Distributed Control System (DCS)
  • Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
  • Field Instruments and Analyzers
  • Control Valves and Actuators
  • Pressure, Temperature, Flow, and Level Instruments
  • Vibration Monitoring Systems
  • Turbine and Boiler Protection Systems
  • SCADA and Communication Systems
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all instrumentation and automation systems.
• Monitor process control performance and optimize control loops to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and operational stability.
• Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure calibration, testing, and certification of all critical instruments as per applicable standards and statutory requirements.
• Maintain and update DCS/PLC logic, control philosophies, alarm management systems, and plant automation documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, Permit-to-Work (PTW), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures, and company safety requirements.
• Plan and coordinate shutdowns, overhauls, commissioning activities, and instrumentation system upgrades.
• Manage instrumentation manpower, contractors, service providers, and OEMs to ensure quality execution of work.
• Maintain adequate inventory of critical instrumentation spares and consumables.
• Coordinate with Operations, Mechanical, Electrical, and Customer representatives to achieve plant performance and reliability targets.
• Prepare and submit maintenance reports, calibration records, instrumentation health reports, and technical documentation.
