Samvitresearch in Bengaluru is hiring a Content Developer (English) responsible for end-to-end development and QA of English learning resources across academic programs, including textbooks and Teacher Handbooks (THBs).
You will lead language quality checks, editorials, and coordination with the academic team to ensure on-time delivery and high academic standards. The role also involves teacher training and development of TLMs to enhance classroom learning.
As a Content Developer (English), you will be responsible for the development and quality assurance of English learning resources across Samvit’s academic programs. The role involves end-to-end responsibility for planning, developing, reviewing, and delivering English textbooks and Teacher Handbooks (THBs).
You will also contribute to teacher training initiatives, ideation and development of Teaching–Learning Materials (TLMs), and ensure high standards of language accuracy across all publications. The role requires close coordination with the academic team to ensure timely execution of projects and maintenance of academic quality.
Take complete responsibility for the planning, development, and delivery of English textbooks and Teacher Handbooks (THBs).
Prepare academic plans, chapter structures, and content frameworks for textbooks.
Ensure conceptual clarity, age appropriateness, and alignment with curriculum goals in all developed content.
Review manuscripts at different stages to maintain academic quality and consistency.
Ensure timely execution and completion of book development projects.
Ensure high standards of language accuracy, clarity, and readability in English textbooks and related materials.
Proofread and edit manuscripts to maintain grammatical correctness and appropriate language level for learners.
Review language usage across other subject books when required to maintain overall quality.
Design and conduct teacher training sessions on English pedagogy and effective classroom use of Samvit’s textbooks and resources.
Support teachers in understanding the academic approach, methodology, and practical classroom application of the materials.
Contribute to the ideation and development of English-related Teaching–Learning Materials.
Work with the production team to support the design and development of TLMs that enhance classroom learning.
Monitor the work progress of the English subject team and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
Coordinate with authors, editors, illustrators, and design teams during various stages of book development.
Provide academic guidance and feedback to team members involved in content creation.
Participate in academic planning for new books, resources, and curriculum initiatives.
Ensure smooth coordination between content development, editing, design, proofreading, and final production stages.
Master’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in textbook development, academic content creation, curriculum design, or school education.
At least 1 year experience in teacher training.
Strong command over English language, grammar, and writing.
Good understanding of school education, classroom practices, and learner needs.
Strong editing, reviewing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage project timelines.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Full time role based at our Bangalore office.
