Job summary

Viscadia seeks an experienced Consultant to lead design and delivery of data- and AI-enabled forecasting solutions from Gurgaon, guiding teams of developers and engineers. The role emphasizes hands-on execution, mentoring, and high delivery standards across frontend, backend, and cloud platforms.

You will work with managers and senior leaders to translate business requirements into scalable data products, dashboards, and AI-enabled features, ensuring client satisfaction and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in full-stack software development, platform engineering, or technology consulting in pharma/healthcare or data-intensive environments.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, CS, IT, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React/Angular/Vue) and backend development (Node.js, Python, Java).
• API development, microservices, and system integration experience.
• Database design and optimization across SQL/NoSQL.
• Cloud-native applications using AWS/Azure with Snowflake; strong CI/CD/DevOps.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Design & Execution

• Design, build, and deploy full-stack web applications across Viscadia's forecasting and analytics platforms, owning frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud delivery.
• Develop responsive, performant frontends using React/Next.js and TypeScript, with strong attention to UX, accessibility, and component reusability.
• Build scalable backend services and APIs (REST/GraphQL) using Node.js or Python, including authentication, business logic, and third‑party integrations.
• Design and optimize relational and analytical data models (PostgreSQL, Snowflake), and integrate ETL outputs into product‑facing features.
• Deploy and operate solutions on AWS or Azure using Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure‑as‑code. Translate client and business requirements into technical designs, API contracts, data models, and sprint‑ready implementation plans.
• Develop POCs and pilots for new product capabilities, including dashboards, in‑app workflows, and AI‑enabled features.
• Lead end‑to‑end execution of assigned modules — from requirements through design, build, testing, deployment, and handover.
• Enforce engineering standards across performance, security, observability, and code quality.

Team Management

• Lead and mentor cross‑functional teams comprising frontend developers, backend engineers, data engineers, and senior developers.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical and product guidance, ensuring alignment on architecture, coding standards, and delivery expectations.
• Review designs, implementations, and outputs to ensure accuracy, scalability, performance, and adherence to best practices.
• Train and upskill junior and senior team members on platform patterns, tools, and delivery standards.
• Own delivery timelines and dependencies for assigned workstreams, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.

Client Management

• Act as a primary execution‑level client contact for assigned modules, clearly communicating progress, risks, and technical decisions.
• Work closely with Managers to align solution delivery with broader engagement objectives and client expectations.
• Support requirement discussions and solution walkthroughs with client stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.

Innovation and Intellectual Capital

• Contribute to the development of internal accelerators, reusable components, and best practices for the forecasting platform.
• Support innovation initiatives by researching emerging tools, techniques, and AI applications relevant to pharma analytics.
• Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging tools, platforms, and AI techniques relevant to pharma analytics and forecasting.
• Help document solution patterns, technical standards, and learnings to build firm‑wide intellectual capital.

Skills

Must Have

• 5-8 years of experience in full-stack software development, platform engineering, or technology consulting, preferably within pharma, healthcare, or data‑intensive enterprise environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js o Backend development using Node.js, Python, Java, or similar technologies
• API development, microservices, and system integration
• Database design and optimization across SQL and NoSQL ecosystems
• Strong experience building scalable, cloud‑native applications using AWS, Azure, and/or Snowflake based ecosystems.
• Proven experience developing and deploying enterprise‑grade applications with strong focus on performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.
• Experience with data engineering concepts, ETL/ELT pipelines, and integration of analytics or reporting capabilities into applications and platforms.
• Solid understanding of enterprise software engineering best practices, including: System design and architecture/ CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices / Version control and code‑review processes /Testing, monitoring, and release management

Nice to Have

• Experience owning or contributing to AI‑enabled features, including automation, intelligent data validation, forecasting accelerators, or decision‑support solutions.
• Experience building or leading BI, dashboards, and reporting solutions for business or commercial analytics.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and applied analytics in forecasting, commercial, or decision‑support use cases.
