Responsibilities
- Primary Skills – Expert in Datacenter Network with product experience on Cisco ACI.
- Able to deploy and troubleshoot above technologies without supervision.
- Experience working on heterogeneous networks, managing various technologies.
- Able to train junior members in the team.
- Proficient in DC deployment with VRF, MPLS, VXLAN, Cisco Nexus and routing protocols.
- Expert on BGP and OSPF routing protocols.
- Troubleshooting skills on production issues using various tools – Splunk, Netflow, debugging of network logs.
- Review network standards and recommend new hardware standards on datacenter networking.
- Plan, design and document ACI architecture and deploy automated templates (with zero touch provisioning) to all locations.
- Configure security zones & VRFs to control traffic on ACI.
- Develop, implement and deploy ACI, NDO, NDI, Multipod and VXLAN.
- Provide support and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Create and follow ACI implementation plans.
- Participate in other next‑gen technical project delivery.
- Work with cross‑functional teams for solution development, training and knowledge sharing.
- Act as a single point of technical contact during technical escalation management.
- Practice to make devices and operations more efficient.
- Perform hands‑on tests to validate customer proof‑of‑concept setups, network designs, and deployments using new products and features.
- Overall responsibility of expert level for technical support (incident, problem, critical changes).
- Good to moderate knowledge on IP networking (CCNA/CCNP), routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and switching (VLAN, trunking, Dot1x, various flavors of STP).
- Experience planning and designing or operating service provider or large enterprise WAN/LAN networks.
- Good communication skills.
- Take lead in outage calls.
- Own and drive root cause and permanent resolution.
- Perform moderate network changes.
- Able to debug production issues.
- Scripting knowledge using Python or Ansible.
- Able to lead production issues and manage issues with senior stakeholders.
Relevant experience: 10–15 years.
Day to day work
- Review existing process and update it for greater autonomy.
- Propose new processes and create new documentation.
- Define improvement plan to decrease number of alarms and escalations.
- Deal with Paris NRE Team to get approval or be autonomous on resolution of incidents/alarms.
- Give an improvement plan for reducing the number of tickets escalated to the Paris team.
