Job summary

Aranca, a global research and advisory firm, is seeking a Valuation Analyst in India to support complex financial due diligence and valuation assignments for Fortune 500 clients and VC-backed startups.

You will build and review valuation models, draft concise reports, and communicate clear theses to external clients and internal teams. Travel to client sites may be required.

The role requires 1–4 years of relevant experience, solid financial concepts, and proficiency with Excel and data tools.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of relevant experience.
• Valuation advisory in business valuation, intangible asset valuation, ESOP valuation advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting and corporate finance concepts.
• Strong financial modeling skills.
• Proficiency in databases such as Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, Capital IQ.
• MS Office: Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Willingness to travel for client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Understand assignment scope and conduct desktop research on the relevant industry to understand dynamics and analyze companies from valuation perspective.
• Build and review financial valuation models and reports.
• Draft well documented reports communicating key valuation arguments and thesis.
• Develop strong client relationships and interact with external clients and internal teams.
• Plan engagements, allocate resources, guide junior analysts, and promote best practices in project lifecycle.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in targeted sectors as well as accounting standards and tax regulations affecting valuation issues.

Job description

• Understanding assignment scope, conduct desktop research on the relevant industry to understand its dynamics and analyzes the companies from operational and financial due diligence perspective.
• Must have in-depth knowledge and experience in building and reviewing financial models based on specific business situations.
• Must be able to draft well documented reports communicating the key valuation arguments and thesis.
• Execute and deliver high quality valuation models reports to the discerning global clie Develop strong working relationships with clients while working on engagements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to interact with external clients and internal senior managerial teams
• Drive productivity through successful engagement planning of valuation assignment, resource allocation, guidance to junior analyst teams, standardization initiatives and following best practices in project life-cycle management.
• Keep up to date with latest developments in certain target industry sectors as well relevant accounting standards and tax regulations impacting valuation issues.

Key Skills

• 1 –4 years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience in financial advisory services primarily in the areas of business valuation, intangible asset valuation, cheap stock options valuation for VC backed companies/ ESOP valuation will be advantage
• Sound knowledge of Accounting and Corporate finance concepts.
• Sound financial modeling skills
• Knowledge of utilizing databases such as Thompson Reuters, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, etc. will be an advantage
• Proficiency in MS Office – Excel, Power point and Word
