Hlfppt is hiring a Health Program Coordinator for prison health services in India. The role involves sensitizing prison officials on inmates' health rights, coordinating HIV, TB, STI and HCV screening camps, and liaising with district health functionaries to organize testing and treatment support.
You will recruit and train Prison Peer Volunteers, conduct awareness sessions, ensure linkages to care, and report Monthly Progress Reports and other documents.

1. Sensitize prison and OCS officials on inmates' health rights and program services, including site-sensitization activities on HIV and other infectious diseases.
2. Collaborate with district health functionaries and stakeholders for testing and treatment support, and obtain permissions to organize HIV, TB, STI, and HCV screening camps.
3. Coordinate the selection, training, and support of Prison Peer Volunteers (PPVs) on health issues, counseling, and social protection schemes.
4. Organize awareness sessions, group counseling, and recreational activities, educating inmates on prevention, harm reduction, positive living, and treatment adherence.
5. Ensure comprehensive HIV, STI, and TB testing and treatment services through local health centers, achieving complete coverage for all inmates, including new arrivals.
6. Facilitate confirmatory testing and treatment linkages for all STR cases, coordinating with relevant authorities for accurate testing and treatment.
7. Assist SPM in establishing and strengthening health facilities like F-ICTC, LAC, and S-OST inside prisons, ensuring timely report submissions from these facilities to relevant authorities.
8. Motivate HIV+ inmates to consent to family visits, coordinate family testing and education, and facilitate home visits to link spouses/partners to social protection schemes.
9. Ensure post-release linkages of inmates to HIV-TB services in their native districts and provide them with a Resource Directory to access local services upon release.
10. Represent the project in district review meetings and other required meetings, coordinating with relevant authorities and stakeholders as per project requirements.
11. Ensure accurate and timely submission of project reports, including Monthly Progress Reports, Positive Line Lists, and other necessary documents.
12. Maintain up-to-date records, including monthly plans, daily logs, timesheets, and expense claims.
