Job summary

Armanino India LLP is seeking a GL payroll accountant to manage US/Canada payroll ledgers in our India center. You will post to D365, prepare reconciliations, and support quarterly audits while driving process improvements and ensuring accuracy across payroll accounts.

The role requires a 4-year degree in accounting or finance, strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across global teams. On-site in Ahmedabad with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Knowledge of GAAP and GL accounting month-end close processes.
• Proficient with large ERP systems including D365, OneStream and Workday.
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience working with a diverse team and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven ability to resolve accounting issues and recommend process improvements.
• Team player with enthusiasm for challenges.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for GL payroll accounting in accordance with US GAAP.
• Ensure D365 GL payroll postings are complete and accurate for all US and Canadian resorts.
• Prepare monthly US and Canadian balance sheet reconciliations for all payroll accounts and upload to OneStream in a timely manner.
• Prepare adjusting journal entries to align GL accounts with the appropriate support.
• Investigate reconciling items and discrepancies; implement process improvements as necessary.
• Perform variance analysis through investigation and assistance of the Payroll and HRIS teams.
• Communicate payroll accounting issues effectively with the GL accounting team.
• Develop an understanding of the industry to include recurring and non-recurring payroll transactions.
• Prepare payroll audit schedules and assist auditors as necessary with annual audit.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 4-year degree required; Accounting or Finance
• Relevant experience within a large corporate GL shared accounting services team is preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP and GL accounting month-end close processes
• Proficient with large ERP systems including D365, OneStream and Workday
• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with a diverse team of people
• Success at building relationships and collaborating cross-functionally across the organization
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Proven ability resolve accounting issues and recommend process improvements
• Team player that will approach work challenges with enthusiasm
