Job summary

Lupin Diagnostics in Maharashtra is seeking a Senior Microbiology Supervisor to oversee bacteriology, virology, mycology and parasitology investigations, and ensure accurate reporting. You will validate culture and serology reports, lead IQC/EQAS, CAPA, and maintain compliance with NABL, ISO, and other standards.

Training and staff performance reviews are also part of the role. This position requires strong biosafety practices and proactive quality assurance to minimize infection risks and

Responsibilities

• Supervise and interpret microbiological investigations including bacteriology, virology, mycology, and parasitology.
• Validate culture, sensitivity, serology, and molecular diagnostic reports before release.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of laboratory results.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Assurance Programs (EQAS).
• Investigate non-conformities and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Ensure compliance with NABL, CAP, ISO, and other applicable accreditation standards.
• Recommend preventive measures and corrective actions to minimize infection risks.
• Supervise microbiology technicians, and other laboratory staffs.
• Conduct training programs on microbiological techniques, biosafety practices, and quality standards.
• Evaluate staff competency and performance regularly.
• Monitor proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious materials and biomedical waste.
• Investigate laboratory incidents and implement preventive measures.
