Job Summary

The Microbiologist will support microbiology diagnostics, molecular biology, biotechnology-related testing, infection diagnosis, culture reporting, laboratory documentation, and clinical coordination across Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, or Hyderabad locations. This requires MBBS with MD/DNB Microbiology or M.Sc Microbiology for non-medical roles with 1–4 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform or supervise microbiology testing, culture processing, and diagnostic reporting.
• Support molecular biology, biotechnology, microbial identification, and infection-related tests.
• Review samples, culture results, sensitivity reports, and laboratory findings.
• Coordinate with clinicians, infection control, nursing, ICU, and laboratory teams.
• Maintain microbiology records, worksheets, logbooks, reports, and quality documentation.
• Follow biosafety, infection control, GLP, and laboratory quality standards.
• Report critical microbiology findings to treating doctors promptly.
• Support antimicrobial stewardship and infection surveillance where required.
• Monitor contamination, abnormal results, and technical issues.
• Support media preparation, quality control, equipment readiness, and audit documentation.
• Guide lab technicians on microbiology SOPs and safety practices.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and clinically useful microbiology diagnostic support.
