Role Description

The Consultant Gynecologist will provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient care in gynecology and obstetrics, including consultations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care. Responsibilities include performing gynecologic and obstetric surgeries and procedures, managing high-risk and routine pregnancies, and ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered care. The role involves collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams, participating in ward rounds, case discussions, and clinical meetings, and maintaining accurate medical records and documentation. The Consultant Gynecologist will contribute to clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and may participate in seminars, workshops, and training activities organized by the hospital. This is a full-time, on-site role based at KANISHK Surgical & Super Specialty Hospital in Dehradun.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Medicine, with the ability to provide comprehensive clinical assessment and management.
• Advanced skills in Gynecology and Obstetrics, including routine and high-risk pregnancy care and gynecologic disease management.
• Proficiency in Gynecologic Surgery and relevant Surgery techniques, including minimally invasive procedures.
• Recognized medical degree (MBBS) and postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (MD/MS/DNB or equivalent), with valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
• Experience working in a hospital setting, preferably in a multi-specialty or tertiary care environment.
• Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered and ethical approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and participate in teaching, training, and clinical development activities.
• Willingness to work full time on-site in Dehradun, with flexibility for emergency duties and rotational shifts as required.
