Job summary

Medoralink in Uttarakhand is expanding its women’s health division. We seek a skilled obstetrician/gynecologist to provide comprehensive gynecological care, perform surgeries, and lead community outreach in rural areas, with EMR documentation and mentoring duties.

The role requires MBBS with MD/DM/DNB in obstetrics & gynecology and valid NMC registration, along with delivery proficiency and experience with laparoscopic/open surgeries. Hindi fluency preferred.

Qualifications

• MBBS with MD/DM/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Valid NMC registration
• Proficiency in conducting normal and complicated deliveries
• Experience in laparoscopic and open gynecological surgeries
• Strong knowledge of RCH, NRHM, and national maternal health protocols
• Ability to use EMR systems and digital patient registration tools

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gynecological consultations, diagnostics and treatment plans for women across all age groups, including antenatal, postnatal, reproductive and menopausal care.
• Perform gynecological surgeries, minor procedures and emergency obstetric interventions per national guidelines and hospital protocols.
• Lead community health outreach initiatives, awareness camps, school programs and health education sessions to improve maternal health literacy.
• Collaborate with midwives, community health workers and primary care providers to ensure continuity of care and reduce maternal mortality in rural areas.
• Document patient records accurately using EMR systems and ensure compliance with policies, laws and ethics.
• Mentor and train junior medical officers and interns to build regional clinical capacity.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive gynecological consultations, diagnostics, and treatment plans for women across all age groups—including antenatal, postnatal, reproductive, and menopausal care.
• Perform gynecological surgeries, minor procedures, and emergency obstetric interventions in line with national clinical guidelines and institutional protocols.
• Lead community health outreach initiatives—conducting awareness camps, school programs, and health education sessions to improve maternal and reproductive health literacy.
• Collaborate with midwives, community health workers, and primary care providers to ensure continuity of care and reduce maternal mortality rates in rural catchment areas.
• Document patient records accurately using digital EMR systems, and ensure compliance with hospital policies, legal frameworks, and ethical standards.
• Participate in training and mentoring of junior medical officers and interns to build clinical capacity within the region.

Preferred

• Experience working in rural or semi-urban healthcare settings
• Training in emergency obstetric care (EmOC) or life-saving skills (ALSO/BLS/ACLS)
• Fluency in Hindi for effective patient communication
