Medico Hub in Tinsukia, Assam seeks an urgent Consultant General Physician/General Medicine Specialist. The role covers OPD consultations, IPD care and emergency medicine, with inpatient rounds and pre-operative assessments.

Qualifications

• MD General Medicine or DNB General Medicine with valid registration (NMC/Assam Medical Council).
• Candidates with strong OPD, IPD and emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Experience in general medicine clinical care and inpatient rounds.

Responsabilités

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Manage diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory disorders and other general medical cases.
• Attend to emergency medical cases and provide initial stabilization.
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and monitor treatment response.
• Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECG and other diagnostic reports.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide follow-up care.
• Manage medical complications in post-operative and critically ill patients.
• Provide pre-operative medical assessment and clearance when required.
• Coordinate with Cardiologists, Neurologists, Nephrologists, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Intensivists and other specialists.
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, lifestyle modification and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements.
• Follow NABH, infection-control, patient-safety and hospital clinical protocols.
