Job summary

Freudenberg is seeking an Operations Manager to lead IT initiatives, oversee system enhancements, and ensure reliable support for a key IT application in a Chennai area setting. The role emphasizes coordinating hardware/software upgrades, tier-3 problem solving, and driving improvements across IT solutions such as SAP.

The position focuses on capacity management, incident escalation, and maintaining SLAs with internal stakeholders, while contributing to business requirement gatherings.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to evaluation of new and complex applications and identifies system requirements through technical leadership.
• Contributes to communication and presentations on system enhancements.
• Manages systems hardware and software implementation and upgrades.
• Troubleshoots software problems at tier-3 support.
• Applies procedures and protocols for software.
• Contributes to conception of new business requirements and IT solutions (e.g. SAP).
• Implements improvements of IT applications, technologies or services.
• Manages capacity allocation and alignment with team leads.
• Responsible and accountable for IT application support and monitoring of one IT application.
• Ensures SLA adherence; acts as escalation level, assigns and tracks incidents.

• Responsible and accountable for IT application support & monitoring of one IT application
• Ensures the adherence to defined SLAs, acts as escalation level if incidents are stuck, assigns incidents and tracks the execution state
