PCI India is seeking a Consultant - Community Coordinator to support mobilization and development activities in Patna's urban slums. The role emphasizes women's empowerment, sanitation worker welfare, community participation, and improved health and sanitation services.
You will coordinate field interventions, conduct meetings, and assist in data collection and reporting for project progress. This is a 5-month, project-based engagement requiring field presence and strong community linkages.
This component is a collaborative initiative supported by UNFPA and implemented in partnership with Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) under UPAMA project to promote inclusive, gender-responsive, and sustainable development in urban slums of Patna. The project aims to improve the quality of life of vulnerable urban communities through strengthened access to health and sanitation services, women's empowerment, community participation, and enhanced municipal service delivery. Special emphasis is placed on promoting gender equality, strengthening the capacities and welfare of sanitation workers (Swacchanginis), fostering community-led slum development, and leveraging innovation and partnerships to build resilient, healthy, and inclusive urban communities.
