PCI India invites a Consultant - Slum Development Swacchangini Coordinator for a 5-month project in Patna, Bihar. The role focuses on capacity building, community engagement, and coordinating interventions across slum areas to improve health, sanitation, and inclusion.
Prior urban slum development experience is required. You will collaborate with government stakeholders and project teams, support Swacchangini groups, and travel within the unit to work closely with communities under the UPAMA
This component is a collaborative initiative supported by UNFPA and implemented in partnership with Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) under UPAMA project to promote inclusive, gender-responsive, and sustainable development in urban slums of Patna. The project aims to improve the quality of life of vulnerable urban communities through strengthened access to health and sanitation services, women s empowerment, community participation, and enhanced municipal service delivery. Special emphasis is placed on promoting gender equality, strengthening the capacities and welfare of sanitation workers (Swacchanginis), fostering community-led slum development, and leveraging innovation and partnerships to build resilient, healthy, and inclusive urban communities.
