Job summary

Intact India is seeking a motivated CAT risk modelling professional to support portfolio management and catastrophe modelling activities. The role involves data scrubbing, validation, modelling, and reporting using industry-standard CAT tools and mapping software to analyze corporate risk levels.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of hands-on CAT modelling experience, with proficiency in RMS RiskLink, Risk Modeler, or AIR Verisk Touchstone, and strong SQL and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on CAT modelling experience, preferably portfolio modelling.
• Proficiency with industry-standard CAT modelling platforms (RMS RiskLink, RiskModeler, AIR Verisk Touchstone).
• Strong understanding of CAT modelling fundamentals, modelling framework and backend data structures.
• Experience generating and interpreting CAT modelling reports; SQL and Excel skills; Power BI knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support CAT Risk management initiatives with a focus on portfolio management.
• Perform catastrophe modelling activities including data scrubbing, validation, modelling and reporting.

This role involves performing catastrophe modelling activities including data scrubbing, validation, modelling and reporting. The role is expected to use catastrophe modelling software and mapping tools to assist in analyzing corporate risk levels.

Requirements

Experience:

3–5 years of hands-on experience in CAT (Catastrophe) Modelling, preferably Portfolio Modelling.

Technical Expertise

• Must Have: Proficiency with industry-standard CAT modelling platforms such as RMS Moody’s RiskLink, Risk Modeler, or AIR Verisk Touchstone.
• Good to have: Strong understanding of fundamentals of CAT Modelling, including modelling framework and backend data structures.

Reporting & Analytics

• Must Have: Demonstrated experience in generating and interpreting CAT Modelling reports.
• Must Have: Intermediate proficiency in SQL, with the ability to understand and debug mid-level to complex queries.
• Must Have: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data manipulation and visualization.
• Good to Have: Working knowledge of Power BI or similar Business Intelligence tools.

Communication & Collaboration (Must Have)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to stakeholders.
• Able to manage hybrid working as per company policy
