Job summary

Guy Carpenter in Mumbai is seeking a talented analyst to join the Catastrophe Modelling team. This hybrid role requires in-office presence at least three days a week and will involve working on cyber catastrophe risk, model outputs, data preparation, and client-facing analytics.

You will translate complex analyses for non-technical audiences, build datasets, and support continuous improvement of modelling workflows. A maths/statistics/computer science degree and programming skills are essential.

  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem solving.
  • Interest in cyber risk, reinsurance, catastrophe modelling, or insurance analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Support the assessment of cyber catastrophe risk across client portfolios, industries, and geographies.
  • Assist in running, reviewing, and interpreting catastrophe model outputs and scenario analyses.
  • Contribute to the analysis of cyber accumulation risk, loss potential, and portfolio exposure.
  • Clean, validate, and manipulate large and complex datasets to support modelling and reporting activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of analytics, summaries, and presentations for clients, markets, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and reconcile exposure data to improve quality, consistency, and model readiness.
  • Support the development of assumptions, input datasets, and analytical workflows used in cyber risk analysis.
  • Translate technical analysis into clear, concise findings and visual outputs for non-technical audiences.
  • Assist in identifying key drivers of cyber risk, emerging trends, and areas of accumulation concern.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of internal modelling processes, data tools, and reporting capabilities.
  • Stay informed on developments in cyber threats, insurance market trends, and catastrophe modelling methodologies.

This role is based in Mumbai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:
