Job summary

Allianz Services India seeks an Analyst - CAT Modelling to support Underwriting and Risk Management by enhancing catastrophe risk assessment and management capabilities. The role involves analyzing natural catastrophe exposures, supporting risk modelling activities, validating catastrophe losses, and providing insights that contribute to informed underwriting decisions.

The incumbent should have a minimum of 2 years in NATCAT/CAT modelling, a Graduate degree, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CAT Modelling or NATCAT processes.
• Graduate with knowledge of P&C Insurance and NATCAT risk assessment.
• Proficiency in Excel and CAT Modelling platforms RMS and NATHAN.

Responsibilities

• Support NATCAT loss identification, validation, and reporting.

Overall Objective

The Analyst - CAT Modelling will support Underwriting and Risk Management teams by enhancing the organization's catastrophe risk assessment and management capabilities. The role involves analyzing natural catastrophe exposures, supporting risk modelling activities, validating catastrophe losses, and providing insights that contribute to informed underwriting decisions.

Experience Requirement:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in CAT Modelling / NATCAT processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage the identification, assessment, validation, and reporting of Natural Catastrophe (NATCAT) losses.
• Perform catastrophe modelling and exposure analysis using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide actionable insights to underwriting teams.
• Assist in the maintenance and improvement of risk management frameworks and processes.
• Work closely with Underwriters, Account Technicians, and other key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of risk and control assessment processes.
• Develop an in-depth understanding of assigned business processes and associated risks.
• Share expertise and best practices with process owners and underwriting teams.
• Contribute to process improvements and knowledge-sharing initiatives across the team.
• Perform Data Scribing and Statement of Values (SOV) cleansing activities.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and completeness for CAT modelling purposes.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and analyses to support business decision-making.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance and its role in serving policyholders.
• Knowledge of Statement of Values (SOV) and its impact on the underwriting process.
• Exposure to underwriting communication and stakeholder interactions.
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and catastrophe risk modelling principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis techniques.
• Experience with CAT Modelling platforms such as:
• RMS
• NATHAN
• Experience in Data Scribing and SOV Cleansing.
• Understanding of key insurance processes, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance, or other related functions.
