Job summary

EY in India is seeking a Sustainability/ESG professional to support client engagements across sectors, focusing on ESG maturity assessments, reporting, and data-driven dashboards.

You will coordinate with stakeholders to develop ESG strategies, policies, KPIs, and implementation roadmaps, while supporting business development and proposal activities. Chennai-based role with sector-agnostic teams.

Qualifications

• Masters in climate change or equivalent.
• Experience with ESG frameworks and reporting.
• Ability to collect and validate ESG data and develop dashboards.
• Ability to develop ESG strategies, policies and KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Undertake ESG maturity assessments, benchmarking and gap assessments against leading frameworks.
• Support sustainability disclosures and reporting aligned with BRSR, GRI, ISSB/IFRS S1 & S2, CDP, TCFD, CSRD/ESRS as applicable.
• Conduct ESG data collection, validation, analysis and develop sustainability performance indicators and dashboards.
• Support development of ESG strategies, policies, targets, KPIs and implementation roadmaps.
• Undertake research on emerging ESG, climate and sustainability regulations and trends.
• Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, proposals and benchmarking analyses.
• Coordinate with client stakeholders for data collection and project execution.
• Support project management activities and track deliverables.
• Contribute to business development activities including proposals and credentials.

Your key responsibilities

• Undertake ESG maturity assessments, benchmarking and gap assessments against leading frameworks and industry practices
• Support sustainability disclosures and reporting aligned with frameworks/regulations such as BRSR/BRSR Core, GRI, ISSB/IFRS S1 & S2, CDP, TCFD and CSRD/ESRS, as applicable
• Conduct ESG data collection, validation, analysis and development of sustainability performance indicators and dashboards
• Support development of ESG strategies, policies, targets, KPIs and implementation roadmaps
• Undertake research on emerging ESG, climate and sustainability regulations, sector trends and leading practices
• Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, proposals, benchmarking analyses and other project deliverables
• Coordinate with client stakeholders across sustainability, EHS, operations, finance, procurement, supply chain and corporate functions for data collection and project execution
• Support project management activities, including work planning, tracking deliverables and coordinating with internal and client teams
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposal development, credentials preparation, research and identification of potential client opportunities
