The Consultant plays an important role in Korn Ferry’s consulting practice, working with experienced practitioners and colleagues to deliver high-quality, evidence-based solutions that meet client needs. This is a core early career consulting role for someone who brings versatility, agility, strong analytical capability and who is motivated to build experience across a broad range of client, project and solution contexts.
The role has a strong emphasis on assessment and succession, including the collection, integration and interpretation of individual and group data. The Consultant will translate quantitative and qualitative information into clear, practical insights for clients, while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality and consistency with Korn Ferry methodologies.
The position also provides the opportunity to build broader consulting capability across. The Consultant will contribute to connected talent solutions, including talent management, development planning, leadership development as well as other consulting solutions and related client deliverables, adapting quickly to different assignments and building knowledge across Korn Ferry’s wider portfolio.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support competency-based interviews and simulation-based assessments, working with senior colleagues to receive guidance from more experienced assessors.
- Administer, score and interpret approved psychometric and assessment tools in line with accreditation requirements, quality standards and Korn Ferry methodology.
- Integrate interview, simulation, psychometric and career data to draft clear, evidence-based assessment reports for review by a lead consultant.
- Analyse individual and group assessment data, identify patterns and themes, and create accurate tables, charts and summaries that support talent and succession decisions.
- Develop high-quality assessment materials and client deliverables, such as interview guides, report templates, assessor briefing packs, presentations and talent analytics outputs.
- Support the design and delivery of broader leadership development solutions by preparing research, participant materials, development resources, presentations, pre-work and post-work, and by contributing to facilitation where appropriate
- Apply versatility and agility across different client, sector and solution contexts, responding constructively to changing priorities and contributing where needed across project teams.
- Deliver feedback on psychometric tools and assessments within level of accreditation and experience, helping participants understand strengths, development priorities and practical next steps.
- Manage small assessment assignments or a defined workstream within a larger project, including planning activities, coordinating inputs, monitoring milestones and escalating risks.
- Develop high-quality assessment materials and client deliverables, including interview guides, assessor briefing packs, report templates, presentations and talent analytics outputs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Assessment & Succession, Leadership Development and other Korn Ferry practices to connect client needs with relevant capabilities and solutions.
- Contribute to client proposals through research, analysis, case studies and the development of clear, commercially sound client materials.
- Build knowledge of Korn Ferry intellectual property, digital platforms, assessment methodologies and leadership solutions through formal learning, project experience and active participation in internal networks.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in psychology, organisational psychology, human resources, business, data analytics or a related discipline; postgraduate study is advantageous.
- Typically 3+ years of relevant experience in assessment, talent, succession, organisational psychology, human capital consulting, people analytics or a related professional services or internal HR environment.
- Strong analytical capability, including confidence working with quantitative and qualitative data, checking data quality, identifying patterns and translating findings into clear business insights.
- Strong PowerPoint skills and the ability to structure and produce clear, accurate and visually effective presentations, reports and client deliverables, with close attention to detail.
- AI fluency, including the ability to use approved AI tools responsibly to support research, analysis, synthesis and the development of high quality client materials, while applying sound judgement and appropriate confidentiality.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce accurate, well-structured reports, presentations and client deliverables with close attention to detail.
- Effective project management, planning and coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and contribute reliably within project teams.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, sound judgement, discretion when handling confidential information, and a collaborative, curious and client-focused approach
Highly Regarded
- Experience using assessment methodologies or tools such as structured interviews, psychometrics, simulations, 360 feedback or talent review processes, together with relevant accreditation where applicable.
- Advanced capability in Excel, with experience using data visualisation or analytics tools to create accurate, accessible and decision-relevant outputs.
- Exposure to leadership development, coaching, facilitation, learning design or the development of leadership programmes and materials.
- Interest in building broader expertise across Korn Ferry’s leadership and talent solutions, supported by a strong learning orientation and willingness to undertake further training and accreditation.
