Job summary

Crisil in Mumbai seeks experienced consultants to work independently or in teams on strategic engagements for private sector clients across manufacturing, channel partners, banks and government. You will conduct market assessments, financial modeling and policy analysis, with travel as required to client sites in India and abroad.

2-4 years in research/strategy/management consulting is preferred, with automotive sector exposure advantageous.

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in research / strategy / management consulting, preferably in automotive sector.

Responsibilities

• Work independently or in a team on consulting projects, managing quality, timelines and client satisfaction.
• Engage in strategic engagements for private sector clients including manufacturing, channel partners, Investors/Private equity players/Investment Banks, Financial Institutions, Government, Nodal Agencies and Multilateral funded projects.
• Conduct market assessment, business strategy, policy work, regulatory analysis, financial modeling, business plans, project management and market research.
• Travel to client sites and across India and abroad as required for execution.
• Be open to assignments across locations in India and abroad, and be stationed at client sites as needed.
• Be well-versed in mobility segments (passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, 2/3 wheelers, tractors, tyres, equipment, EVs) and related industries.
• Build knowledge/skills in new areas beyond current domain strengths.
• Support franchise outreach activities by writing articles, in-house research, proposals and pitch decks.
• Prepare and develop reports and presentations outlining comprehensive client solutions.
• Support the Manager/Director in strategic pitches and tracking business parameters.
• Identify and pursue new opportunities with existing clients.
• Contribute to internal initiatives.

Job description

• Work independently / in a team on consulting projects/ assignments; manage different aspects of assignment delivery including assignment quality, timelines and client satisfaction.
• Role would involve working on strategic engagements of private sector clients including but not limited to manufacturing companies, channel partners, Investors/Private equity players/Investment Banks, Financial Institutions, Government, Nodal Agencies and Multilateral fundedprojects.
• Work on market assessment, business strategy, policy work, regulatory aspects, financial models, business plans, project management and market research. Strong analytical and research acumen with knowledge of AI & analytics would be preferred.
• Ability to work across clients and travel for work whenever required for execution. Be open to work on assignments across locations in India and abroad. This would imply a willingness to travel and at times be stationed for a few days at client site depending on the requirements of the assignment.
• Should be well versed in any of the mobility segments (passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers, tractors, tyres, construction equipment, automotive components, electric vehicles ; knowledge of defense / capital goods industry would be an added advantage)
• Be open to working on assignments unrelated to current domain strengths in the analytical capacity, simultaneously building knowledge / skills in such new areas.
• Support in franchise outreach activities by writing articles, in-house research, working on business development proposals and pitch decks / co-ordination
• The role would entail the preparation and development of reports and presentations that outlines a comprehensive approach and solution to the client's problem statement.
• Support the Manager/Director in preparing strategic pitch presentations and strategy discussion and regular tracking of parameters impacting business
• Identify and escape potential business opportunities for the organization with an existing client
• Provide assistance in internal initiatives
