Job summary

Deepak Chem Tech Ltd. seeks an experienced Project Construction Planner (Mechanical Engineer) to develop, monitor, and control schedules for large-scale industrial projects, including chemical/oil & gas and infrastructure domains.

The role entails planning, scheduling, resource loading, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely project execution and successful shutdowns or commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules for large-scale industrial projects.
• Ability to conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks.
• Strong coordination with engineering, procurement, construction, contractors and client teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6/MS Project.
• Prepare Level 1 to Level 4 schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Perform construction planning for mechanical activities including piping, equipment erection, steel structures, tanks and vessels, rotating equipment, and utility systems.
• Conduct critical path analysis and identify schedule risks.
• Monitor project progress and update schedules periodically.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, and look-ahead schedules.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, contractors, and client teams.
• Analyze delays, productivity trends, and prepare recovery plans.
• Develop manpower, equipment, and resource histograms.
• Support project cost control and forecasting activities.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide schedule insights.
• Track milestone achievements and ensure contractual schedule compliance.
• Assist in shutdown, turnaround, and commissioning planning activities.
