Job summary

Deepak Chem Tech Ltd is seeking an experienced Project Planning & Controls professional to govern planning processes across multiple capital projects in the chemical and refinery sectors. You will establish schedules (L2-L4), oversee Master Project Schedules with Primavera P6 and MS Project, and define governance frameworks and KPIs.

You will lead schedule development, perform critical path analysis, monitor baselines, and drive EVM practices, cost and productivity controls.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in project planning, controls and capital projects.
• Experience in Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
• Exposure to chemical, petrochemical, refinery, fertilizer, oil & gas, EPC or process industries.
• Leadership experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional teams.
• PMP, Primavera P6 Professional, PMI-SP, AACE or equivalent certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop look-ahead, catch-up and recovery schedules.
• Forecast schedule slippages and provide recommendations.
• Establish project monitoring systems for cost, schedule and productivity.
• Lead delay analysis and risk mitigation planning.
• Support EOT claims and documentation.
• Drive Earned Value Management (EVM) practices.
• Develop executive dashboards and reporting systems.
• Lead DPR, WPR and MPR preparation.
• Present project performance updates to management.
• Develop WBS and resource-loaded schedules.
• Optimize resource utilization across projects.
• Develop S-Curves, Histograms and Productivity Metrics.
• Lead review meetings with stakeholders.
• Coordinate Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams.
• Prepare executive presentations and strategic reviews.
• Champion IPMS implementation.
• Drive digital tools and analytics adoption.
• Mentor planning engineers and project controls professionals.
• Years of overall experience in Project Planning, Controls and Capital Projects.
