Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager Wind PMC to support site-level monitoring and coordination for utility-scale wind projects. You will oversee workfront readiness, scheduling, contractor interfaces, and progress across civil, WTG erection, electrical, and commissioning activities at project sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or construction management field.
• 10 to 15 years of wind energy construction experience.
• Experience in PMC, Owner's Engineer, Construction Management, or Project Monitoring roles preferred.
• PMI PMP or Construction Management certification is preferred; HSE leadership training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deploy PMC field-monitoring activities based on active WTG workfronts and contractor look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor sequencing and progress of roads, crane pads, foundations, WTG erection, and electrical systems.
• Coordinate interface closure between Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, HSE, Survey, and Commissioning teams.
• Track workfront readiness and release status for WTG construction activities.
• Maintain construction constraint logs, provide daily/weekly progress updates, and support project reviews.

Job Description

Construction Manager Wind PMC

The Construction Manager Wind PMC will support site-level construction monitoring and coordination activities for utility-scale wind projects. The role is responsible for overseeing workfront readiness, construction sequencing, contractor interface management, and progress monitoring across civil, WTG erection, electrical, and commissioning activities.

The position works closely with the Team Leader Wind PMC, contractors, OEMs, and project stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and timely project execution.

Key Responsibilities

Construction Monitoring & Coordination

• Plan and deploy PMC field-monitoring activities based on active WTG workfronts and contractor look-ahead schedules.
• Monitor sequencing and progress of roads, crane pads, ground improvement works, foundations, WTG erection, electrical systems, and USS interfaces.
• Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved schedules, quality requirements, and project milestones.

Interface & Workfront Management

• Coordinate interface closure between Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Quality, HSE, Survey, and Commissioning teams.
• Track workfront readiness and release status for WTG construction activities.
• Monitor access availability, logistics readiness, crane movement requirements, and resource utilization.

Risk & Performance Monitoring

• Identify construction constraints, productivity issues, and schedule deviations.
• Monitor contractor performance and support implementation of recovery actions.
• Escalate critical risks, delays, and resource constraints to the Team Leader Wind PMC.

Reporting & Governance

• Maintain construction constraint logs and WTG workfront status trackers.
• Provide daily and weekly progress updates and coordination reports.
• Support project reviews by providing accurate site progress and readiness assessments.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.

Experience

• 10 to 15 years of experience in wind energy construction projects.
• Proven experience in wind site construction coordination, including roads, foundations, WTG erection, BoP electrical works, and workfront management.
• Experience in PMC, Owner's Engineer, Construction Management, or Project Monitoring roles preferred.

Certifications

• PMP or Construction Management certification preferred.
• Training in HSE leadership, lifting operations, workfront control, and commissioning readiness is desirable.
