Job summary

Sense in Vadodara, India, seeks a construction/project manager with EPCm experience for FMCG/Chemical sectors. You will oversee modular construction, guide design constructability, and coordinate with clients, vendors, and contractors to meet schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include monitoring cost and progress, attending client meetings, certifying bills, and enforcing EHS and quality standards across projects. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

• Experience in FMCG/Chemical/Special Chemical projects.

Responsibilities

• Handle EPCm project type model.
• Adopt new construction tech like modularization.
• Coordinate with client and vendors for contractors and materials.
• Guide team on constructability during design phase.
• Monitor project cost, forecasts and ensure timely execution.
• Lead meetings with contractor for progress and site issues.
• Attend client meetings to discuss progress.
• Track progress vs. schedule and report delays.
• Check and certify contractor bills.
• Record BOQ quantity changes and inform client for amendments.
• Define CM team roles (RACI) and deploy joint team.
• Implement EHS plan via client/PMC EHS Manager.
• Ensure construction quality system with quality team.
• Prepare backlog and look-ahead plans; review schedule.
• Conduct site reviews with contractors and discipline teams.
• Coordinate with Offshore PM & EM for design queries.
• Provide regular site status updates to stakeholders.
• Follow escalation processes for critical issues.
• Assist client in finalizing contractors, materials, vendors.
• Perform Active Change Management for contract deviations.
• Monitor site activities and temporary facilities; ensure compliance with EHS rules.

Experience of FMCG / Chemical / Sp. Chemical Project

• EPCm project type model handled.
• Broad Experience with the new technology for the Construction. (Like Modularization and other as using in the market)
• Person should have knowledge of English language (Speaking, Writing, Reading)
• Person should have knowledge about local law and requirements during site execution of works.
• Assist client for finalizing contractor, material vendor.
• To guide team from constructability issues during design phase.
• Monitoring project with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts, to ensure timely execution of projects.
• Co coordinating meeting with contractor for review of progress and site issue.
• Attending meeting with client for discussing progress of project.
• Monitoring the Progress w.r.t schedule.
• Check & certify contractor Bill.
• Keeping track record of increasing of quantity w.r.t BOQ and same to inform the client for amendment.
• Defining roles & responsibility of CM team members (RACI) & deployment of joint team
• Implementation of EHS plan through Client / PMC EHS Manager
• Implementation of Construction Quality System through Quality team & ensuring compliance.
• Fortnightly Backlog & look ahead plans, Construction Schedule Review & take necessary steps (Catch up plan) to meet the critical Activities deadlines.
• Conduct regular site review meetings with Contractor's and site discipline team
• Co-ordinate with Offshore PM & EM for design related queries
• Update all the stakeholders regarding site status through regular progress updates
• Follow escalation mechanisms to address any critical issues.
• Assist client for finalizing the contractor, material and vendor
• Perform Active Change Management towards the client or contractors in terms of contract deviations
• Monitor site activities and temporary site facilities as well as assist the enforcement of statutory and contractual regulations for occupational health and environmental protection according to "HSE Program Site
