Job summary

Sify Infinit Spaces Limited in Rabale, Navi Mumbai, seeks an experienced Construction Manager to own on-site execution of active data centre builds, turning approved designs into a live facility, safely and on time.

You will manage contractors, coordinate civil, structural, electrical, HVAC and safety work fronts, track progress against the master schedule, enforce quality control, and report risks to the Head of PMO.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction management.
• 4+ years leading data center or mission-critical builds.
• Experience managing multiple trade contractors.

Job Description

The Construction Manager owns on-site construction execution across active data center builds civil, structural, and MEP turning approved designs and schedules into a live facility, safely and on time. This role is the single point of accountability for everything happening on the construction floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day construction execution on one or more active data center sites, from mobilization through final handover.
• Manage general contractors and trade subcontractors, holding them to the approved schedule, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate civil, structural, electrical, HVAC, and fire & safety work fronts so trades sequence cleanly instead of colliding on site.
• Track daily progress against the master schedule, flagging slippage early and driving recovery plans with the Project Manager and Construction Planner.
• Enforce site safety programs and quality control checkpoints, escalating non-conformance before it becomes rework.
• Manage on-site change — design clarifications, site conditions, scope adjustments — and feed it into the program's change control process.
• Coordinate with the commissioning team to ensure construction handover packages are complete and commissioning-ready.
• Report construction status, risks, and site issues to the Head of PMO and Technical Program Manager.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years in construction management, including 4+ years leading data center or other mission-critical/industrial builds.
• Hands-on experience managing multiple trade contractors concurrently on a live construction site.
• Working knowledge of civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical construction sequencing for critical facilities.
• Strong grounding in site safety standards and quality control processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
