Job summary

Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) invites applications for one post of General Manager (P&S) in E-6 grade / Senior General Manager (P&S) in E-7 grade on deputation basis. The position is based in Delhi and is open to eligible officers of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME).

The appointment will be for three years, extendable by up to two years as per Government of India rules. The age limit is not more than 56 years as on the closing date of applications.

Qualifications

• IRSME officers with 14–17 years of Group ‘A’ service for E-7
• JAG/SG IRSME officers with at least 9 years of Group ‘A’ service for E-6
• Age not more than 56 years as on the closing date of applications
• Deputation involves installation, commissioning or maintenance of machinery and plant for diesel locomotives for at least three years

Responsibilities

• Applications must be forwarded through the respective administrative authority with No-Objection Certificate, Vigilance/DAR clearance and APARs for the previous five years
• An advance copy may be submitted to CONCOR’s Area Head (Area-II), New Delhi, with supporting documents
• Selection will be carried out by a Screening Committee based on a 100-mark assessment: Professional Ability 30, Experience 20, Seniority 20, APAR 30

New Delhi, September 2026: Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR) has invited applications for one post of General Manager (P&S) in E-6 grade / Senior General Manager (P&S) in E-7 grade on deputation basis.

The position is based in Delhi and is open to eligible officers of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME).

Eligibility and Salary

The appointment will be for three years, extendable by up to two years as per Government of India rules. The age limit is not more than 56 years as on the closing date of applications.

The applicable IDA pay scales are:

Officers will draw the salary of their parent department along with deputation allowance, as applicable.

For E-7, eligible candidates should be IRSME officers with 14 years but less than 17 years of Group ‘A’ service. For E-6, JAG/SG IRSME officers should have completed at least 9 years of Group ‘A’ service.

Installation, commissioning or maintenance of machinery and plant for diesel locomotives at sheds, workshops or production units for at least three years.

Rolling stock, diesel shed and wagon maintenance.

Familiarity with the procurement process is desirable.
