Job summary

Policybazaar in Gurugram, India, is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager (Compliance) with 6–8 years of experience to lead regulatory compliance across the organization and foster a strong compliance culture.

You will monitor changes in laws (SEBI/RBI/insurance), manage audits, oversee contract vetting and ensure website compliance, coordinating with internal teams and external counsels.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a reputed college/university.
• 6–8 years experience in regulatory compliance at corporates or law firms.
• Fintech exposure is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of corporate law; familiarity with insurance/SEBI/RBI regulations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end compliance management and fostering a compliance culture.
• Track regulatory changes and update compliance trackers and tools.
• Assist in regulatory/statutory audits and remediation planning.
• Contract vetting, negotiation, and execution; review of all agreements.
• Ensure website/legal compliance and coordinate with internal teams and external counsels.

Job Description- Manager / Senior Manager (Compliance)

Experience – 6 to 8 years

Key Responsibility Areas -

1. End to end compliance management and ensuring a compliance culture in the organization.
2. Keeping track of all regulatory changes/laws impacting the business of the company. Ensuring trackers are updated, new requirements are implemented in the Company and the requirements are continuously tracked through the compliance tool.
3. Responsible for assisting in regulatory / legal compliances along with regulatory and statutory audits on need basis.
4. Conducting compliance reviews of critical areas and preparing a report along with the remediation plan.

Other Responsibility Areas -

1. End to end contract management (vetting, negotiating and execution of agreements including strategic agreements).
2. Maintenance and regular review of all executed agreements with renewal follow-ups with business.
3. Periodic review and ensuring legal compliance of company’s website.
4. Maintaining good co-ordination with all internal departments of the company and liaise with external counsels for regulatory work as and when required.
5. Other tasks that may be specified from time to time.

Requirements and skills -

1. Law degree from a reputed college / university.
2. Post qualification experience of 6 to 8 years working in regulatory compliance departments of corporates / law firm. Experience of working in the regulatory compliance department of fin tech companies will be an added advantage.
3. Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures. Knowledge of insurance / SEBI / RBI regulations will be an added advantage.
4. Sound legal reasoning with an ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies.
5. Outstanding communication skills, self-starter with an ability to meet deadlines in a competitive environment.
