Job summary

Experian is seeking an experienced Compliance professional in Maharashtra to manage day-to-day regulatory activities, stakeholder liaison, governance deliverables, and testing. You will coordinate with business units and regulators to ensure adherence to applicable rules.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years in compliance, an MBA/PGDBM, and certifications like CS or LLB. Strong communication and coordination with risk, legal, and operations teams are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Compliance.
• MBA/PGDBM from a reputed institute; CS/LLB or any other relevant certification adds value.
• Sound knowledge of regulations pertaining to Credit bureau, Banking and Fintech industries is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Business Units during Regulatory Inspections, Audits, and examinations to obtain and share data requirements.
• Assist in interpreting and providing regulatory advice and oversight on compliance matters to Business Units.
• Stay updated on regulatory environment and disseminate requirements to concerned Business Units for awareness and implementation.
• Assist in handling periodic/adhoc data requests from regulators and perform data sanity checks before sharing.
• Support in Compliance Testing to check adherence to guidelines, including scoping, walkthroughs, data collection, sampling, and drafting observations.
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal and other groups to assess risk and propose mitigating controls for new products and processes.
• Help create a strong compliance culture through training and organizational initiatives.

Job Description

The incumbent's responsibilities include managing day to day Compliance related activities including regulatory stakeholder management, open issue management, preparing deliverables for governance meetings and regulators, Compliance Testing etc. You'll have a strong desire to co-ordinate and partner with the Business and help to drive a focus on compliance.

What You'll Need To Bring To The Party

• 5 years of experience in Compliance related activities including regulatory stakeholder management, open issue management, preparing deliverables for governance meetings and regulators, Compliance Testing.
• M.B.A/ PGDBM from a reputed institute. Either of the certifications i.e. CS/ LLB or any other relevant certification shall be an added advantage.
• Sound knowledge of regulations and experience pertaining to Credit bureau, Banking and Fintech industry shall be an added advantage.
• Effective co-ordination skills with various stakeholders including the regulator.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

What You Will Be Doing

• Coordination with respective Business Units during Regulatory Inspections, Audits, examinations etc. for obtaining and sharing data requirements.
• Assist in interpreting and providing regulatory advice and oversight on compliance matters to Business Units.

Stay current on regulatory environment and expectations. Assist in identifying requirements from various regulatory directions and disseminating the same to the concerned Business Unit for awareness and implementation.

• Assisting in handling periodic and adhoc queries and data requests from the regulator through continuous co-ordination and follow-up with Business Units. Carrying out sanity checks of the data before sharing the same with the regulator.
• Support in performing Compliance Testing of Business Units to check adherence to regulatory guidelines. This will include defining scope, conducting walkthrough, obtaining data, sample testing, highlighting gaps and drafting observations for the report.
• Collaborate with Risk, Legal and other key groups to assess risk and recommend mitigating controls for new products and processes.
• Support in creating a healthy compliance culture through the organisation through an effective Compliance Training.
• Obtaining in-depth understanding of business line, operating processes & products and services.
• Develop and manage strong working relationships with Business Units.

Qualifications
