Job summary

Confidential is seeking a Manager/Senior Manager – Workforce Strategy & Economics with 5–8 years of experience and an MBA in Finance or Economics. The role blends talent planning, analytics, and financial governance to forecast headcount, assess productivity, and tie human capital decisions to the P&L.

You will build data models, benchmark salaries in AI markets, design compensation frameworks, and present insights to leadership.

Qualifications

  • MBA in Finance, HR, Economics, or a highly quantitative field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in financial planning, workforce analytics, and data modeling.
  • Strong proficiency with complex formulas, visualization tools, and AI-enabled modeling.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast headcount, attrition risks, and talent gaps aligned with business growth.
  • Analyze span of control, org layers, and productivity metrics for structure design.
  • Track recruitment and workforce metrics (Cost per Hire, Revenue per Role).
  • Design workforce cost projections and governance mechanisms.
  • Assess impact of human capital strategies on P&L with data-driven recommendations.
  • Design compensation budgeting strategy and salary benchmarking in AI markets.
  • Propose short- and long-term incentive plans aligned with performance targets.
  • Ensure reward structures are sustainable and performance-linked.

Job description

Role-Manager / Senior Manager – Workforce Strategy & Economics

Education-MBA Finance / Economics or similar

The ideal candidate should have strong business acumen, number savvy with a solid quantitative background (MBA Finance / Economics or similar), and a deep understanding of how talent metrics directly impact the company’s P&L.

Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Planning & Workforce Analytics
  • Build data models to forecast future headcount needs, attrition risks, and talent gaps in alignment with business growth projections.
  • Analyze span of control, organizational layers, and productivity metrics to recommend optimal structure designs.
  • Track, evaluate, and report key recruitment and workforce metrics (e.g., Cost per Hire, Revenue per Role / RPR).
2. Financial Projections & Governance
  • Design and prepare detailed workforce cost projections; analyze and present insights through structured governance mechanisms.
  • Evaluate the direct financial impact of human capital strategies on the P&L, providing executive leadership with clear data-driven recommendations.
  • Design and recommend the overarching strategy and execution framework for annual compensation budgeting across the organization.
  • Conduct real-time salary benchmarking for niche, high-demand technical and business roles within the fast-evolving AI marketplace.
  • Design short-term and long-term incentive plans, including equity programs (e.g., ESOPs/RSUs), aligned with business performance targets.
  • Ensure reward structures remain financially sustainable, competitive, and tied to overall company performance.
Required Qualifications & Key Skills
  • Education: MBA in Finance, HR, or Economics, or a degree in a highly quantitative discipline.
  • Experience: 5 to 8 years of experience with direct exposure to financial planning, workforce analytics, and data modeling.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in handling complex formulas, visualization tools , Google Apps Script. Demonstrated proficiency in leveraging AI tools and platforms to accelerate modeling, reporting, and benchmarking.
  • Business & Financial Acumen: Strong ability to speak both business and finance—understanding and articulating how human capital metrics impact P&L. Highly analytical & data driven approach.
  • Communication: Exceptional presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to present complex data insights clearly to leadership.
