The Legal, Secretarial & Compliance team at Navi serves as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring the company's operations align with legal and regulatory frameworks. The team provides comprehensive legal counsel across various domains, including corporate law, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The team oversees corporate governance, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and facilitating effective board and shareholder engagements. The team proactively manages compliance across multiple regulated sectors, adapting to evolving regulatory landscapes.

About the Role

The role involves supporting the corporate secretarial functions of various entities of Navi Group. You will assist in preparing Board and Committee documents, undertaking statutory filings, maintaining statutory records, conducting legal and regulatory research, coordinating audit-related data requirements, and ensuring timely compliance with applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, SEBI regulations and foreign direct investment reporting requirements. The role requires attention to detail, sound legal understanding and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

What We Expect From You

• Adequate understanding of Companies Act, 2013 and rules made thereunder, SEBI regulations particularly, the SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 and SEBI (PIT) Regulations, 2015, and FDI Reporting;
• Preparing the first draft of all the board documents, and statutory filings under the Companies Act, 2013 and rules made thereunder, ;
• Undertaking research on questions of law / compliance for opinions to be shared with directors/ internal or external stakeholders;
• Handling data requests for statutory and internal audits;
• Supporting requests for updation of websites in line with regulatory requirement; and
• Updating statutory registers of the various entities.

Must Haves

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with an ability to work and take considered decisions in a fast-paced environment;
• Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) skills.
