Kinjo, Mumbai-based startup, is building a vibrant ecosystem by connecting people, events and communities. We are looking for a Community Manager who loves meeting people, hosting sessions and nurturing relationships to grow Kinjo's reach from the ground up.

You will identify and onboard communities, engage organizers, run demos, attend startup events, and build partnerships to bring communities onto Kinjo. Expect a fast-paced environment and ownership of early community-building efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and build relationships with relevant communities across startups, founders, creators, professionals, students and entrepreneurs.

  • Keep Kinjo communities active and engaged.
  • Initiate conversations, discussions, activities, polls and community-led initiatives.
  • Understand community needs and find ways to increase participation and engagement.
  • Identify inactive users and create initiatives to bring them back.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group demo sessions for event organizers and community managers.

Kinjo is building a new way for people to meet, connect, collaborate and grow together.

We bring together people, communities and events to help users discover the right people,

build meaningful relationships and turn those relationships into real opportunities.

We’re looking for a Community Manager who can help us build the Kinjo ecosystem from

the ground up.

This role is for someone who enjoys meeting people, attending events, building

relationships, hosting sessions and creating communities.

What You'll Do
Community Building & Management
  • Identify and build relationships with relevant communities across startups, founders, creators, professionals, students and entrepreneurs.
  • Onboard new communities and organizers onto Kinjo.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with community leaders and organizers.
  • Keep Kinjo communities active and engaged.
  • Initiate conversations, discussions, activities, polls and community-led initiatives.
  • Understand community needs and find ways to increase participation and engagement.
  • Identify inactive users and create initiatives to bring them back.
Organizer Outreach & Relationship Building
  • Identify relevant event organizers, community managers, founders and ecosystem players.
  • Reach out to organizers and introduce them to Kinjo.
  • Meet organizers in person and understand their requirements, challenges and workflows.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of organizers across different categories.
  • Follow up consistently and convert relevant organizers into active Kinjo partners.
  • Conduct one-on-one and group demo sessions for event organizers and community managers.
  • Explain Kinjo's features, use cases and value proposition.
  • Help organizers understand how Kinjo can help them manage and grow their communities.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and help organizers get started on the platform.
  • Collect feedback during demos and onboarding and communicate insights to the product team.
Events & Offline Activations
  • Attend relevant startup, networking, creator, professional and community events.
  • Represent Kinjo at events and actively build relationships with attendees and organizers.
  • Identify potential organizers and communities at events.
  • Build partnerships with event organizers to bring their events and communities onto Kinjo.
  • Help plan and execute Kinjo's own events, meetups and community activations.
  • Host Kinjo events, meetups, workshops and community sessions.
  • Coordinate with speakers, organizers, partners and attendees.
  • Manage on-ground execution and ensure a great participant experience.
  • Create opportunities for Kinjo to become part of existing events and communities.
Community-Led Growth
  • Develop creative initiatives to grow Kinjo organically through communities and relationships.
  • Create referral, collaboration and engagement programs.
  • Find new ways to encourage users to meet, connect and collaborate.
  • Turn active community members into advocates for Kinjo.
  • Identify interesting people and communities that should be part of the Kinjo ecosystem.
Content & Communication
  • Create community-first communication for WhatsApp, email and in-app channels.
  • Write announcements, event communication, community updates and engagement messages.
  • Work with the marketing team to turn community insights into content and campaigns.
  • Help document community stories, events and success stories.
Insights & Reporting
  • Track community growth, organizer onboarding and engagement.
  • Monitor activation and participation metrics.
  • Understand why users join, participate, drop off or return.
  • Collect feedback from organizers and users.
  • Share insights and recommendations with the founding, product and marketing teams.
