Job summary

DRiV in India is seeking a strategic Purchasing professional to deliver annual MCS cost reductions through negotiation, design-out and sourcing alternatives, while tracking and validating savings.

You will drive cash flow by renegotiating terms, optimizing inventory, and reducing lead times, and you will engage in New Product Introductions, lead supplier sourcing, quotation and qualification to support on-time launches and growth.

Qualifications

• Negotiation and supplier management skills essential.
• Experience in cost reduction and sourcing strategy.
• Experience in manufacturing supply chains desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver annual MCS cost reduction targets via negotiation, design out and sourcing alternatives; track, validate and report realized savings.
• Drive cash release initiatives including payment term renegotiation, inventory optimization and lead time reduction to improve working capital.
• Engage early in New Product Introduction projects, lead supplier sourcing, quotation and qualification to support on time new product launch and business growth.
• Collect and analyze commodity market, raw material and competitor trends; provide insights to inform sourcing strategy decisions.
• Source, audit and onboard suppliers in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and other LCCs to diversify the supplier base and reduce supply risk.
• Support the Purchasing Manager in developing and executing medium long term commodity sourcing strategy for North America steering & suspension business, considering tariffs, localization and supply chain resilience.
• Monitor supplier on time delivery, resolve supply disruptions, run regular supplier performance reviews and drive corrective actions to stabilize material supply.
