Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Commissioning Expert to plan, coordinate, and lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, synchronization, and performance testing for a pumped storage project in India.

The role requires ensuring all civil, hydro-mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems meet procedures, specifications, contractual requirements, and statutory regulations. This position is site-based at the project site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• 20+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commissioning plans and procedures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary commissioning activities.
• Supervise pre-commissioning inspections and readiness reviews.
• Witness equipment testing and trial operations.
• Lead unit synchronization and performance guarantee tests.
• Coordinate with grid operators and statutory authorities.
• Resolve commissioning issues and technical deficiencies.
• Verify completion of punch list items.
• Review operation and maintenance documentation.
• Issue commissioning reports and recommend commercial operation declaration.

Job Summary:

The Commissioning Expert shall be responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading all pre-commissioning, commissioning, synchronization, and performance testing activities for the Pumped Storage Project. The expert shall ensure that all civil, hydro-mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems are commissioned in accordance with approved procedures, technical specifications, contractual requirements, and statutory regulations. The role includes coordinating with the Employer, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and grid authorities to verify system readiness, resolve commissioning issues, conduct performance guarantee tests, and facilitate the successful commercial operation of the project within the prescribed schedule.
