Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in testing, commissioning and start‑up activities of Excitation Systems, AVR/VFD and Unitrol solutions within the power generation industry.
• Diploma or BE/BTech in Electrical, Electronics, EEE, E&C with effective communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems with practical experience in hydro, thermal and power plant projects, supporting system integration, testing and performance validation.
• Skilled in commissioning, troubleshooting and technical support of excitation and drive systems, ensuring compliance with customer and project requirements.
• Experience in coordinating commissioning activities, executing site‑based assignments and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure on‑time project delivery.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Pan India (up to 80%) to support site commissioning, testing and customer project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Execute commissioning activities in all types of project sizes and complexities in close collaboration with the Senior Commissioning Engineer.
• Execute these activities efficiently, cost‑effectively, and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements and cybersecurity policies and standards.
• Support continuous improvement in project processes, products and system design.
• Execute testing, commissioning for Excitation Systems, AVR and Unitrol solutions in Hydro, Thermal and Power Generation projects, ensuring proper system integration, performance validation and compliance with project requirements.
• Plan, coordinate and execute commissioning activities while collaborating with engineering and project teams to ensure timely completion of project milestones and seamless system handover.
• Implement commissioning‑related design changes and update as‑built project documentation through technical mark‑ups, ensuring accurate records and adherence to engineering standards.
• Apply established commissioning processes, procedures and quality requirements to ensure all testing and commissioning activities are executed safely, efficiently and in accordance with contractual obligations.
• Conduct technical risk and opportunity assessments during commissioning phases, identify potential issues, implement mitigation measures and support reliable system operation and project objectives.
