Job summary

Schindler Group in Indore, India seeks a Commissioning Engineer (Project Engineer/ Sr. Project Engineer/ Team Lead- New Installation) to oversee installation, testing and commissioning of elevators and related systems.

You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain thorough project documentation. The role requires 2–6 years in the elevator or manufacturing industry, with a degree/diploma in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, or ITI.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical/ Electronics) or ITI is required.
• 2 to 6 years of experience in the Elevator or manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance, safety and repair practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, testing and commissioning of elevators, escalators and moving walks, ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Conduct technical assessments and troubleshoot to maintain project timelines.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and partners for timely installation completion.
• Maintain detailed project documentation including reports, checklists and regulatory records.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers and site supervisors to implement plans efficiently.

Your Main Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of elevators, escalators, and moving walks to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards, achieving quality and safety benchmarks.
• Conduct technical assessments and troubleshooting during the installation phase, identifying and resolving technical issues to maintain project timelines and operational effectiveness.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and external partners to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of installation projects, adhering to strategic project plans and schedules.
• Maintain detailed documentation on project progress, including technical reports, checklists, and compliance records with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to communicate and implement installation plans efficiently and effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Facilitate effective communication with clients and external partners to ensure project requirements and safety standards are clearly understood and met, addressing queries or concerns promptly.
• Engage with colleagues, contractors, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to project plans and to address any safety or technical questions effectively.
