Job summary

WTE Infra Projects invites a commissioning engineer to join our team in Pune to plan, coordinate, execute, and document the commissioning, start-up, performance testing, and handover of water and wastewater treatment plants. • Plan and execute commissioning activities for WTPs, WWTPs, STPs and ETPs, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
• Develop commissioning procedures, method statements, schedules, and checklists.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, safety, and client teams during commissioning and start-up.
• Verify mechanical completion and system readiness prior to commissioning.
• Perform pre-commissioning activities such as flushing, hydrotesting, cleaning, loop checking, and equipment inspection.
• Commission mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and process equipment.
• Test pumps, blowers, compressors, agitators, clarifiers, filters, and dosing systems.
• Conduct PLC, SCADA, VFD, instrumentation, and control system testing.
• Calibrate and loop-check field instruments; monitor plant performance during start-up and optimize parameters.
• Troubleshoot issues across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process domains during commissioning.
• Conduct performance guarantee tests and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
• Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists, test records, and final handover documentation.
• Coordinate operator training and prepare O&M manuals.
• Ensure adherence to HSE policies, regulatory norms, and quality standards.
• Support project close-out and final client handover.

Ensure all mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute commissioning activities for Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
• Develop commissioning procedures, method statements, commissioning schedules, and checklists.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, safety, and client teams during commissioning and start-up.
• Verify mechanical completion and system readiness before commissioning.
• Perform pre-commissioning activities, including flushing, hydrotesting, cleaning, loop checking, and equipment inspection.
• Commission mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and process equipment.
• Test pumps, blowers, compressors, agitators, clarifiers, filters, chemical dosing systems, and associated equipment.
• Perform PLC, SCADA, VFD, instrumentation, and control system functional testing.
• Conduct calibration and loop checking of field instruments.
• Monitor plant performance during start-up and optimize process parameters to achieve design capacity.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process-related issues during commissioning.
• Conduct performance guarantee tests (PGT) and ensure compliance with contractual performance requirements.
• Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists, test records, and final handover documentation.
• Coordinate operator training and prepare Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards.
