Job summary

Saini Electronic Security System in Navi Mumbai is seeking a System Design and Engineering specialist to design BMS solutions for fire protection projects, develop detailed drawings, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will oversee installation, integration with fire and HVAC systems, testing, documentation, and end-user training, collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver safe, reliable building management solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in designing, installing, and maintaining BMS.

Job description

System Design and Engineering:

Collaborate with clients, architects, and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.

Design BMS solutions tailored to the specific fire protection needs of each project, considering factors such as building size, occupancy type, fire risks, and regulatory compliance.

Develop detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications for BMS components and integration with fire detection, alarm, and suppression systems.

2. Installation and Integration:

Oversee the installation, configuration, and commissioning of BMS hardware and software components.

Coordinate with installation teams and subcontractors to ensure adherence to design specifications and industry standards.

Integrate BMS with other building systems, including fire alarm panels, HVAC systems, access control, and emergency lighting, to enable seamless operation and centralized control.

3. Testing and Troubleshooting:

Conduct thorough testing and validation of BMS functionality, including system performance, alarms, alerts, and fault detection.

Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, system malfunctions, and integration challenges during installation and commissioning phases.

Collaborate with project teams to implement corrective actions and ensure successful system operation.

4. Documentation and Training:

Prepare comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, system manuals, and user guides, to facilitate system maintenance and operations.

Provide training to end-users, facility managers, and maintenance personnel on BMS operation, maintenance best practices, and emergency procedures.

5. Compliance and Standards:

Stay updated on industry standards, codes, and regulations related to fire protection systems, building automation, and BMS technology.

Ensure that BMS designs and installations comply with relevant codes such as NFPA, UL, and local building and fire codes.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience (3 to 5 years) in designing, installing, and maintaining building management systems, preferably in the fire protection or life safety industry.

Strong knowledge of fire detection, Alarm FNA, back net card, EBI, Loop card, DVC, Multisensory detector and suppression systems, as well as building automation protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software for system design and documentation.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.
