Job summary

Veedee Solutions LLP in Maharashtra, Mumbai is seeking a dedicated Commis Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have passion for cooking and strong knowledge of Chinese, Indian and Continental cuisines.

You will support food production, maintain quality and assist senior chefs in daily operations. Key responsibilities include mise en place, cooking to recipes, ensuring safety standards and maintaining FIFO practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess an ITI/Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts or relevant kitchen experience.
• Good knowledge of Chinese, Indian and Continental cuisines is required.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook dishes according to assigned cuisine and standardized recipes.
• Handle mise en place including cutting, chopping, marination and basic prep.
• Maintain food quality, taste, presentation and portion consistency.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen sanitation standards diligently.
• Assist senior chefs with daily kitchen operations and service prep.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling and FIFO practices for food safety.

Required Skills

• ITI / Diploma / Certificate in Culinary Arts or relevant kitchen experience.
• Good knowledge of the assigned cuisine (Chinese, Indian, Continental).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Basic culinary knowledge and relevant kitchen experience for Commis 2 positions.
• Willingness to learn and work under senior chefs.

Candidates should have relevant experience in hotels, restaurants, QSRs, catering, or institutional kitchens. Flexibility to work rotational shifts, weekends, and holidays is essential.
