Job summary

Bunge is seeking a Commercial Executive to manage end-to-end commercial, procurement, trading, logistics and supply chain operations for agricultural commodities. The role focuses on profitability, market expansion, regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

Key duties include developing procurement and sales strategies, forecasting demand/supply, monitoring market trends and building a robust supplier and logistics network to ensure efficient execution of trade activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement of agricultural commodities and supplier network.
• Understanding of KYC, trade confirmations, daily trade reports.
• Knowledge of domestic purchase, APMC, cargo quality and logistics practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and sales strategies for agricultural commodities.
• Prepare regional demand and supply forecasts to inform trading decisions.
• Monitor market prices, arrivals, crop developments and trends to assess opportunities and risks.
• Build and manage a network of suppliers, traders, warehouses, logistics partners and service providers while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate end-to-end trade operations through agents, contractors, surveyors and logistic partners.

Role Purpose Statement

To manage end-to-end commercial, procurement, trading, logistics, and supply chain operations for agricultural commodities while driving profitability, market expansion, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

Main Accountabilities

• Commodity Procurement Sales Management - Develop and execute procurement and sales strategies for agricultural commodities, ensuring optimal sourcing, pricing, and profitability while meeting business objectives.
• Demand Supply Forecasting - Prepare regional demand and supply forecasts by analyzing acreage, crop conditions, expected yields, market trends, and customer requirements to support informed trading decisions.
• Market Intelligence Analysis - Monitor daily commodity prices, market arrivals, crop developments, and industry trends to assess market direction, identify opportunities, and mitigate commercial risks.
• Supply Chain Network Development - Build and manage a reliable network of suppliers, traders, warehouses, logistics partners, and service providers while ensuring compliance with local mandi regulations and trade practices.
• Trade Operations Execution - Coordinate end-to-end trade operations through handling agents, contractors, surveyors, and logistics partners to ensure smooth execution of procurement, storage, transportation, and sales activities.
• Knowledge of domestic purchase and sale. Prior experience in handling KYC, trade confirmation, daily trade reports. Working knowledge of cargo procurement/sale - domestic export. Knowledge of cargo quality and cargo movement.
• Should be thorough with concepts of domestic purchase Sales, APMC applicability and procedure, cargo quality, Logistics - domestic Export, have good seller/buyer/broker network.

Education Experience

• B.Com, Additional/Desirable - any PG Diploma in Agri or management degree
• At least 5-6 years of experience in procurement of Agri commodities with similar types of organization
