Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Mumbai is seeking a Commercial Controller to manage the commercial and financial aspects of a business unit, driving profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and contract management. You will partner with Sales and Marketing to improve performance and guide decision-making with analytics.

The role involves evaluating business cases, steering AOP/LRP, and coordinating with Strategy, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure contract compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience driving profitability, budgeting, and forecasting for a business unit.
• Ability to assess financial viability of deals and manage risks.
• Strong contract review and deal-structuring capabilities.
• Experience preparing MIS, financial reports, and performance analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and financial aspects of the business unit with a focus on profitability and risk management.
• Act as a strategic business partner to Sales and Marketing teams to improve commercial performance.
• Evaluate business cases in coordination with the Strategy team.
• Vet commercial contracts from financial and commercial perspectives and support in deal structuring.
• Drive organization-wide Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Planning (LRP).
• Handle and evaluate capital budgeting and investment proposals.
• Track business cases from pre-sales to post-sales stage and monitor profitability.
• Ensure compliance related to commercial contracts including EXIM, Forex, and banking matters in coordination with Finance & Accounts and Legal teams.
• Partner with suppliers and customers on commercial and financial matters.
• Prepare and analyze MIS, financial reports, and business performance reports.
• Provide analytics and insights to management for business decision-making.
