Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in India seeks a Commercial Controller to manage the commercial and financial aspects of a business unit, focusing on profitability and risk management.

You will partner with Sales and Marketing to improve performance, evaluate business cases with Strategy, and support in deal structuring. This role also coordinates with Finance and Legal teams to ensure contract compliance and drives planning processes like AOP and LRP.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial and financial aspects of the business unit with a focus on profitability and risk management.
• Act as a strategic business partner to Sales and Marketing teams to improve commercial performance.
• Evaluate business cases in coordination with the Strategy team.
• Vet commercial contracts from financial and commercial perspectives and support in deal structuring.
• Drive organization-wide Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Planning (LRP).
• Handle and evaluate capital budgeting and investment proposals.
• Track business cases from pre-sales to post-sales stage and monitor profitability.
• Ensure compliance related to commercial contracts including EXIM, Forex, and banking matters in coordination with Finance & Accounts and Legal teams.
• Partner with suppliers and customers on commercial and financial matters.
• Prepare and analyze MIS, financial reports, and business performance reports.
• Provide analytics and insights to management for business decision-making.
