Role Description

The Collections Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Jajpur, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end collections process for assigned portfolios. This role includes managing collection teams, setting daily and weekly targets, monitoring performance, and ensuring adherence to policies and regulatory requirements. The Collections Manager will analyze delinquency trends, develop and implement recovery strategies, and coordinate with cross-functional teams such as credit, operations, and customer service to resolve complex cases. Daily responsibilities also include handling escalated customer accounts, maintaining accurate records, preparing collection reports and dashboards, and recommending process improvements to optimize collection efficiency and minimize losses.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in collections, credit control, or recovery operations within financial services, NBFCs, or banking.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills, including the ability to interpret portfolio performance data and recommend actionable strategies.
• Demonstrated team leadership capabilities, including supervising field or tele-collection staff, coaching for performance, and managing targets.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with a customer-focused yet firm approach to collections.
• Solid understanding of lending processes, regulatory and compliance requirements, and industry best practices related to collections.
• Ability to work on-site in Jajpur, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accuracy in documentation and MIS reporting.
• Comfort with using collection tools, CRM systems, and standard office software (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, reporting tools).
• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, commerce, or a related field; advanced qualifications or certifications in credit or risk management are an advantage.
• Prior experience handling retail loan portfolios, SME loans, or consumer finance products is preferred.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and adherence to ethical and non-discriminatory practices in all collection activities.
