Job summary

State Street in India is seeking a Collateral Management professional to reduce credit risk by exchanging cash and securities with counterparties. The role involves MTM-based calculations and issuing margin calls, with training provided and a blend of remote and office work.

You will reconcile collateral balances, respond to margin queries, and support onboarding of new processes and clients. The ideal candidate has a finance or commerce degree, strong numeracy, Excel expertise, and good English

Qualifications

• Graduate or higher in Finance or Commerce.
• B.Com/BBM/BBA, MBA (Finance) or related degree.
• NCFM/CISI certification is preferred; macros, SQL & MS Access knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Complete all assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Answer margin calls and queries from different departments.
• Reconcile collateral balances, investigate discrepancies; be the main point of contact/escalations.
• Review and document process flows and contribute ideas to streamline operations.
• Get involved in departmental ad-hoc projects.
• Ability to take ownership and initiative.
• Get involved in training and development of other team members.
• Prepare and review monthly internal and external statistics.
• Support onboarding of new processes, clients etc.
• Support manager; plan workload.
• Reply timely and professionally to queries via different channels.
• Coordinate escalations, ensure no queries or tasks remain unanswered.

Why This Role Is Important To Us

Collateral management main focus is to reduce credit risk by exchanging eligible cash or securities between counterparties. The daily calculations are based on MTM of the underlying trades and results in sending Margin Calls, which in turn lead to agreeing transfers. Based on the agreements between our clients and the counterparties the Collateral team in India ensures that all the exposures are fully collateralized and the agreed collateral transactions settle as agreed..

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Complete all assigned tasks accurately and in a timely manner

• Preferred 1-2 years of experience in financial or business services
• Get involved in the training and development of other team members
• Prepare and review monthly internal and external statistics
• Support on-boarding of new processes, clients etc.
• Support manager; prepare and plan workload
• Reply timely and with professional manner to queries via different communication channels
• Coordinate escalations, make sure no queries and tasks as unanswered

Additional Requirements
