Job summary

State Street in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Associate for the Markets Foreign Exchange Collateral team. The role focuses on timely confirmation and settlement of deals, daily margin calls based on MTM, and client settlements across FX and derivatives.

You will work with DTC, MS Excel/Access, SQL Server, VB, IBS, Intrader and Bloomberg, contributing to risk controls and process improvements while supporting clients with accurate settlements.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong technical skills, quick learner, detail oriented and able to multitask.
• Knowledge of OTC derivatives collateral management, FX, derivatives, futures, debt/equity settlements.

Responsibilities

• Process daily margin calls for all clients based on MTM movements.
• Monitor security and cash settlements and investigate non-receipt/non-payments.
• Handle month-end interest processing and coupon settlements.
• Contact clients in case of non-receipts and escalate risk as needed.
• Collaborate with development with a focus on control improvements.
• Promote openness and teamwork across the organization.
• Identify and report potential unusual or suspicious transactions.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and adapt procedures when necessary.
• Keep management informed of any potential issues and resolutions.

What You Will Be Responsible For

As Senior Associate you will

• Process daily margin calls daily for all agreed clients every day based upon the MTM movements in the market.
• Monitoring security settlements as well as cash settlements.
• Investigating on Non-receipt and Non-payments.
• Month end interest processing and coupon settlements
• Reach out to client in case of non-receipts
• Actively delegate with development in mind
• Actively encourage openness and challenge within the team
• Foster an environment that supports effective team work across organizations
• Support the team to collectively identify risk issues for the benefit of all stakeholders
• Share expertise and apply knowledge to improve processes within the team
• Ensure that the focuses on client needs first and drive all efforts to provide exceptional Service
• Review and/ or Implement controls when applicable to reduce risk
• Take responsibility for identifying any unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity and must report and/or escalate in accordance with corporate policy and guidelines detailed in relevant operating procedures
• Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures and improvises Operating procedures where they do not fall in line with the process
• Ensures timely resolution of issues while keeping management informed of any potential issues.
