Job description

You are a Senior Associate within the Collateral Management team at State Street, responsible for various key tasks related to collateral management to reduce credit risk.

Responsibilities

• Processing daily margin calls for agreed clients, including banks and fund clients, for both cash and security margin calls
• Reconciling collateral balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies, and being the main point of contact for escalations
• Investigating cash non‑receipt reports and custody settlement system, and initiating correspondence with clients and counterparties for fails investigation
• Generating a variety of reports for clients and internal purposes
• Completing daily or ad hoc manual portfolio reconciliations
• Handling month‑end interest statement generation, settling interest, updating interest agreements, and validating interest rates

Key Skills & Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook, and preferably Power Point, Word, MS Access, and VBA
• Very good command of English with effective communication skills
• Experience in finance and custody, knowledge of OTC markets, derivatives instruments, and collateral onboarding
• Numeracy skills with attention to detail and the ability to work within tight deadlines
• Ability to collaborate, work in a team, and supervise specialists if necessary
• Self‑motivated, flexible, and reliable with project management methodologies as an advantage

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate and above, preferably in Finance
• Degrees such as B.COM, BBM/BBA, MBA (Finance), M.COM, or any related to Finance or Commerce
• Certification on NCFM/CISI and knowledge of Macros, SQL, and MS Access Database queries
